Chelsea will look to cement their place at the top of the Premier League when they take on Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Here is the side I think Jose Mourinho will select:
Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois is expected to return to the starting eleven after being left on the bench against Newcastle last week due to a minor finger injury.
Defence: Mourinho will also be forced into at least one change at the back with Cesar Azpilicueta ruled out after picking up a knock last time out so Filipe Luis will come in at left back. The Blues boss is also expected to recall Gary Cahill after he was rested last week, so Kurt Zouma is likely to make way at centre-back.
Midfield: Cesc Fabregas could be moved into a more advanced role if Mourinho wants to add a more defensive-minded player alongside Nemanja Matic in front of the defence. John Obi Mikel could be the man he turns to, but I think we might see Ramires selected for his energy and work-rate against a Swansea side that like to pass the ball around in front of their own fans.
Attack: With Fabregas deployed further forward we could see Oscar rested ahead of Tuesday night Capital One Cup clash with Liverpool while Willian may also get a breather with Andre Schurrle favourite to step in. However, I think Mourinho will resist the temptation to rest the likes of Eden Hazard and Diego Costa so they should keep their places in attack.
Here if how I think we’ll see Chelsea line-up:
What do you think of the team? What line-up would you go with?
