€25m Attacker To Snub Man Utd For Arsenal Move, Player Wants To Work With Wenger
German attacker Marco Reus will snub interest from Manchester United in order to make a €25m move to Arsenal because he wants to work with Arsene Wenger
With the January transfer window coming to a close, managers are frantically trying to tie-up those late deals and strengthen their squads ahead of the second half of the season, so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip. Today, Marco Reus is ready to snub Man Utd for Arsenal….
German attacker Marco Reus will snub interest from the likes of Manchester United in order to make a €25m move to Arsenal because he wants to work with Arsene Wenger, according to reports.
Reus has become one of the best attackers in Europe after two excellent seasons at Borussia Dortmund where the winger has scored 47 goals in 99 appearances since making the move from Borussia Mönchengladbach back in 2012.
His future at the Westfalenstadion is uncertain due to a buy-out clause in his contract that kicks in during the summer which will allow him to leave for just €25m (£20m) – which represents an absolute bargain in today’s over inflated market for a player of his quality.
Understandably, there is plenty of interest with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool all keen on luring him to the Premier League and the quartet were boosted by reports over the weekend claiming that Bayern Munich had ended their interest in the 25-year-old.
However, it appears the likes of United may now be left disappointed as the Daily Star are suggesting that Reus will snub all other interest in favour of a move to Arsenal this summer as he’s keen to work with Wenger at the Emirates next season.
Dortmund are currently sitting rock bottom of the Bundesliga table after drawing 0-0 at Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday so they are highly likely to miss out on Champions League football next year, which should see the likes of Reus leave the club.

It remains to be seen how much truth there is behind these reports but it would be a major coup for the Gunners if they were able to win the race for his signature as Reus is a world class talent who is going to be the signing of the summer for whoever ends up buying him.
With Lukas Podolski expected to leave the Emirates on a permanent basis at the end of the season, there could be a space open in Arsene Wenger’s squad and I’m sure Gunners fans would love Reus to be the man to fill it.
