Tottenham vs Arsenal Preview, Team News, Likely Line-Ups, Prediction & Betting Tips
Tottenham entertain Arsenal at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon. Here’s a preview with team news, line-ups, predicted score and betting tips.
Both sides will be looking to give their top four hopes a boost as Tottenham entertain Arsenal at White Hart Lane tomorrow lunchtime.
Arsenal sit just two points above Spurs in fifth place in the Premier League table while third-placed Manchester United are only a further one point ahead, so the race for Champions League qualification is extremely tight.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side head into the game in fine form having lost just once in their last 14 games in all competitions with their latest win coming with a 3-0 defeat of West Brom last weekend.
However, the Gunners are also in excellent form themselves with Arsene Wenger’s side taking 19 points from a possible 24 in the league and they should be full of confidence after thrashing Aston Villa 5-0 last time out.
Arsenal also hold the current bragging rights in North London as they’ve not lost in the last four matches between the two sides and came away with all three points in this fixture last season thanks to a thunderous strike from Tomas Rosicky.
Team news
Spurs go into the game in the unenviable position of having a fully-fit squad to choose from.
Pochettino will make a late check on the fitness of Nabil Bentaleb following his return from the African Cup of Nations, although he may opt from the fresher legs of Benjamin Stambouli in midfield.
Arsenal are likely to be without top scorer Alexis Sanchez as the forward continues to nurse a hamstring injury that kept him out of the Villa game – although Arsene Wenger did say he’d make a final decision after training on Friday.
Danny Welbeck is back in the squad after six weeks out with a thigh injury, but Jack Wilshere, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mikel Arterta, Abou Diaby and full-back Mathieu Debuchy all remain sidelined.

Likely Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Tottenham 1-1 Arsenal: Both sides are in good form and that should make for an intriguing game but I can see this one ending in a score draw, which wouldn’t be a terrible result for either team.
Betting Tips
Arsenal are the slight favourites to win with the bookies but thanks to Football-Talk you can get enhanced odds of 8/1 on an either a home or away victory with Betfair while you can also win £100 worth of free bets. A 1-1 draw is on offer at 6/1 while I also like the look of Theo Walcott to open the scoring at 7/1. If we combine those two bets in a scorecast then we get very tempting odds of 40/1. Surely that’s got to be worth a couple of quid!?
