The transfer window may be closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal are linked with Kenedy…
Arsenal have joined Bayern Munich and Paris Saint Germain in the race to sign Kenedy this summer following his impressive form on loan at Newcastle, according to a report in the Mirror.
Kenedy joined Chelsea from Fluminense in 2015 but struggled to force his way in to the first eleven and was forced to head out on loan to get regular first team football.
The 22-year-old has been a key figure since joining Newcastle on a short-term deal in January with the Brazilian winger providing 2 goals and 2 assists in his 8 appearances so far.
His impressive form has alerted several top European clubs with the Mirror citing a report from ESPN that claims Arsenal have now joined Bayern Munich and PSG in the race to sign Kenedy this summer.
Arsene Wenger’s men are gearing-up for a huge Europa League semi-final tie with Atletico Madrid after booking their place in the last four with a 6-3 aggregate victory over CSKA Moscow.
However, the Gunners boss is still expected to revamp his squad this summer following another disappointing Premier League campaign that’s destined to see us finish outside the top four for the second consecutive season.
A lack of width in attack has been a problem since we sold Alexis Sanchez and Theo Walcott in the winter window and it seems Wenger has identified Kenedy as a player who could help solve the issue.
The South American is able to play at left-back but is more comfortable further forward at left wing-back or as a left winger so he’d give Wenger plenty of options down that flank if we did lure him to the Emirates.

However, not only will we have to fend off interest from European giants like Bayern and PSG but it remains to be seen whether Chelsea would do business with a domestic rival if they decide to cash-in this summer.
