[Video Goals] Arsenal 3-0 Dinamo Zagreb: Sanchez Hits Brace As Gunners Cruise

By on November 24, 2015

Arsenal eased to a 3-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb at the Emirates on Tuesday night to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

The Gunners went ahead midway through the first half when Mesut Ozil met Alexis Sanchez’s superb cross with a stooping header to make it 1-0 in the 29th minute.

It was 2-0 just minutes later when Nacho Monreal did superbly to tee-up Sanchez who cooly slotted home from close range to put us in total control at half-time.

Any worries over a possible Zagreb comeback were extinguished when Joel Campbell set-up Sanchez with an excellent through-ball for the Chilean to round the keeper and make it 3-0 in the 69th minute.

The victory means Arsenal can still qualify for the last 16 after Olympiakos lost to Bayern Munich in Germany tonight, but we’ll need to win in Greece by two clear goals or by 3-2, 4-3, etc in order to snatch second spot.
