Arsenal’s title challenge took a major blow after they were held to a frustrating 0-0 draw by Southampton at the Emirates on Tuesday night.

These are my ratings from the game:

Cech   7/10 | Commanded his area well and claimed several crosses to ease the pressure on the defence. Made a couple of routine saves.

Bellerin   6/10 | Got forward but his final delivery was very disappointing. Lost possession too often as well.

Gabriel   7/10 | The Brazilian’s pace was useful against Long and Mane and he defended well to secure a clean sheet.

Koscielny   6.5/10 | Swept up well at the back and was solid in defence but missed a golden chance to win it as he headed over from close range.

Monreal   7/10 | As reliable as ever and kept Mane under wraps. Looked like he picked up a knock at the end so hopefully it’s not serious.

Flamini   5/10 | All over the place. Passing was poor when he did play it forwards and brings little to the team. Needs to make way for Coquelin or Elneny as soon as possible.

Ramsey  5.5/10 | Couldn’t have any influence on the game. Doesn’t seem to enjoy playing alongside Flamini as he does the job of two men.

Ozil  8/10 | Our most dangerous player once again. Was unlucky not to score at least once in the first half and created several opportunities.

Campbell   5/10 | Worked hard tracking back but offered very little going forward.

Alexis   7.5/10 | Another lively display. Went close to scoring on two occasions and linked up well with Ozil.

Giroud   6/10 | Another frustrating night for the Frenchman. Forster was his nemesis after making several saves to deny the striker.

Subs:

Walcott 5.5/10 | Saw little of the ball other than being denied by Forster twice in quick succession.

Coquelin N/A

A hugely frustrating result and we’re now down to fourth and five points adrift of leaders Leicester. Bournemouth away is now MUST win game if we’re to stay in the title race.
