Liverpool expect Nathaniel Clyne and Dejan Lovren to be passed fit to face Manchester United but the club are still sweating on the fitness of Adam Lallana, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Lovren suffered a groin injury during Liverpool’s 2-1 win at Swansea last weekend while there were also reports earlier this week suggesting that a long-term back problem was still giving the centre-back trouble.

The Croatian national team doctor, Boris Nemec, was quoted in the Daily Star as saying that Lovren could ‘hardly walk’ and was unable to sit properly after being ruled out of their World Cup qualifiers against Kosovo and Finland making him a major doubt for the Man Utd game.

Clyne was also a doubt to face the Red Devils after being withdrawn from the England squad for their upcoming international’s after aggravating a long-term knee injury at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday.

It appears Liverpool have been handed a major double boost as the Liverpool Echo claim that Jurgen Klopp is confident both Clyne and Lovren will be passed fit and available for selection when United come to Anfield on Monday week.

However, the club are still unsure over Lallana’s availability as the midfielder continues to recover from a groin problem that saw him ruled out of England’s World Cup qualifiers against Malta and Slovenia after limping out of the win at Swansea.

The Echo say that Lallana is undergoing intense treatment at Melwood to try and get him fit for the United game but he’ll have to be closely monitored over the coming days before a decision will be made over his inclusion in the squad.

It would be a big blow for Liverpool to lose Lallana if he was ruled out as the former Southampton midfielder has been in excellent form this season and was recently nominated for the Premier League player of the month award.
