EFL Cup Semi Final Draw: Liverpool & Man Utd Kept Apart

The draw for the semi finals of the EFL Cup was conducted on Wednesday night and big guns Liverpool and Manchester United have been kept apart.

United booked their place in the last four after easing to a 4-1 victory over West Ham at Old Trafford with Anthony Martial and Zlatan Ibrahimovic both scoring braces.

Jose Mourinho’s side will now face Hull City in the last four after the tigers squeezed through following a penalty shoot-out win over Newcastle on Tuesday.

Liverpool eased in to the semi finals thanks to a 2-0 win over Leeds United on Tuesday night with Ben Woodburn getting himself on the score-sheet to become the Merseysiders youngest ever goal-scorer.

The Reds will now take on Southampton after the south coast club knocked out Arsenal with a 2-0 victory at the Emirates.

The semi finals will be played over two legs, with United and Southampton at home for the first legs which will take place on the 10/11th January.
