It’s January deadline day and it’s expected to be another busy time with clubs battling to get last minute deals over the line so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, more on Chelsea’s move for Moussa Dembele…

Celtic striker Moussa Dembele has been spotted flying-in to London this morning amid reports that Chelsea are plotting a late £30m move for the hitman, according to the Sun.

Dembele came through the youth ranks at Paris Saint-Germain before making his name in England during a three-year spell at Fulham where he scored 17 goals during the 2015/16 campaign.

The French under-21 international ended up joining Celtic last summer and he’s forged a reputation as one of the best young attackers in European football having scored 20 goals in his 38 appearances so far, including 3 in his 6 Champions League games.

The 20-year-old potential has caught the eye south of the border as the Guardian reported this morning that Chelsea have expressed their interest in signing Dembele and are plotting a late £30m bid for the youngster.

Speculation over a potential deadline day move to Stamford Bridge has now gone in to overdrive after Dembele was spotted on-board a flight to London Heathrow this morning with pictures doing the rounds on Twitter.

The Sun claim that Dembele has now touched down in London and while Celtic are saying he’s in the capital to undergo treatment on an injury, the newspaper says he’s ‘almost certainly’ travelled south to complete a move to Chelsea.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming ours but Dembele would be a hugely exciting addition to the Chelsea squad if he does end up moving to west London before tonight’s deadline.

However, the Frenchman’s arrival would cast further doubt over the future of Michy Batshuayi with the Belgian youngster tipped for a loan move today after failing to establish himself at Chelsea following his move from Marseille.
