Wenger: “Carlos Vela Can Leave”

Arsene Wenger has said that his Mexican striker Carlos Vela will be allowed to leave Arsenal in January… on loan. The 21 year old has started only 3 Premier League games in the last three seasons, as he is mainly used as a substitute. But now, he has fallen behind Robin van Persie, Marouane Chamakh, Andrey Arshavin, Nicklas Bendtner and Theo Walcott in the attacking positions, and Wenger believes a loan move would do him good.

“Some of our offensive players aren’t getting many chances – like Carlos Vela. Maybe he can go out on loan but we won’t sell him.

“He needs to play and he’s a top quality player. If there’s a possibility, I have promised him I’ll let him go out on loan somewhere.”

The Mexican International has played 33 times for his country, scoring 9 goals, and rumours circulating suggest teams in Serie A are interested in signing him.

I think Vela needs to go on loan to a Premier league club. He needs more premier league experience

Vela will do well wherever he goes.

But I wish AW would give him a starting role in both the Carling and FA Cups. His last outing was impressive. He’s not the kind of player I’d like to see leave even on loan, But when Theo plays on the right either Nasri or Arshavin plays on the left. Right now, with everyone fit, eager, and in form he’s not going to get a look-in.

Wigan would suit him as Bolton did Wilshere.

Vela, imo, has a great future at Arsenal and a loan move will only be of benefit to him AND the Club.

he has the ability to be a good goalscorer…if he used his right foot he could be great. Loan would be good….wba or wigan…any club that plays attacking football

A talented player like Vela has to go elsewhere to get games while People like Bendtner plays,an absolute disgrace.

I`ve always been a fan of Carlos Vela, whether of not that comes from supporting the underdog I don`t know but for some reason he hasn`t made the cut under Wenger. I agree a loan spell in the Premier League would do him the world of good and I can`t see there being a problem in finding a suitable club. Good luck Carlos.

  8. Hi,

Bolton did wonders for Wilshere, and could do the same for Vela, just would he get the playing time?

Wigan? They could do with a winger….

    Good luck Vela !

We are getting the results we deserve, because that is all we play for. We are also preventing some players own personal development, by holding unto them far to long, way pass their sell by date.

What is the aims and ambition of the Arsenal FC now?

To play the most attractive football only?

    Or to beat every opponent?
