The transfer window is closed but managers are working hard on their plans for the summer so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, Liverpool are linked with Suso…

Liverpool are ready to re-sign Suso from AC Milan as Jurgen Klopp looks to bring in a replacement for Philippe Coutinho this summer, according to reports in Italy via the Mirror.

The Reds boss opted against signing another attacker during the January transfer window despite Coutinho making a £142m move to Barcelona during the winter transfer window.

Klopp decided to bide his time before replacing the Brazilian international but it looks like Liverpool have now identified the man they think can fill Coutinho’s shoes at Anfield.

The Mirror are citing a report from CalcioMercato that claims Liverpool are ready to try and lure Suso back to Merseyside almost three years after he left to join AC Milan.

The Italian publication says Klopp wants to re-sign the 24-year-old attacking midfielder this summer and is ready to meet the £35.6m release clause that’s written in to his contract.

Suso was considered one of the most exciting teenagers in Europe when he joined Liverpool in 2010 but he struggled to force his way in to the starting eleven and was eventually forced to join Milan five years later.

Suso is predominantly a right winger but he’s capable of playing anywhere across the attacking midfield positions so he could be an excellent replacement for Coutinho is Klopp is successful in luring him back to Anfield.
