Bond: Spurs Can Compete For Top 4 Place

By on September 14, 2011

Kevin Bond claims Tottenham can compete with the biggest clubs in England.

The Spurs assistant manager was speaking to TalkSport and insists if they can keep a fit squad, they can gate crash the top four this season.

The North London outfit has already suffered two heavy defeats to Manchester United (3-0) and Manchester City (1-5) but despite the embarrassing defeats Bond has complete faith with his squad.

“If you’re asking me if I think we can compete [for a place in the top four] then I think we can,” he said.

“We certainly, it would appear, don’t have the money or the spending power that Manchester City have got. We haven’t got that.

“But I think we have got a fantastic squad and we can compete with them. We can’t go and buy the players that they can buy but with the players that we have available to us, if we can keep them all fit, we can compete with them.”

I agree but the squad should be strengthen with the addition of another proper striker and a proper CH while replacing Pav, GDS and some other players who don’t have the necessary qualities for a top PL club.

We can get fourth and i dont see why pundits are righting Spurs off we finished 5th with Horrendous injuries. Since then we have added ADY on loan and Parker Walker Yago Falque a young sensation named Coulibaly. Liverpool have added Downing Adams Henederson and Bellamy who are not has good has Parker Huddlestone Bale Lennon Modric Sandro Pienaar and only four would get into Spurs Raina Gerrard Bellamy Suares. Liverpool rely on eneregy levels being high and have worker bees in Kaut Lucas Suares and dirty Adams. But this North West high tempo is starting to smeell of illegal sweat and Channel fours program about the FA covering up the scale of players Failing drug tests for abusive substances. This does not surprise me and its this i fear Spurs not getting in the top four not the quality of our team.
