Arsenal Transfer News: Yoann Gourcuff Wants €14m Gunners Move

By on December 7, 2011

Long term Arsenal target Yoann Gourcuff wants to join the Gunners in January, according to reports today.

Arsene Wenger has been an admirer of the Frenchman’s for some time and tried to sign him in the summer, but Lyon refused to do business. However, Gourcuff has only featured four times in Ligue 1 so far this season leaving him frustrated that he was denied a summer move to the Emirates.

According to reports, the 25-year-old now has his sights set on securing a January move to Arsenal in order to revitalise his career with Lyon apparently willing to sell for around €14m.

That would represent good value for the Londoners, as Gourcuff is certainly a talented playmaker who is coming in to his prime playing years, and represents a much cheaper alternative to other targets such as Mario Gotze or Eden Hazard, who are both valued at over €30m.

he’s out of form since he came to lyon with a lengthy injury.

but i think he could gain confidence under the guidance of wenger and find his best form.

for me he was always a player destined for arsenal and aw.
