[Video] Lukas Podolski Scores Superb Strike As Cologne Lose To Freiburg

By on April 29, 2012

Arsenal-bound Lukas Podolski was in action on Saturday scoring a lovely left-footed strike as Cologne went down 4-1 away to Freiburg.

The Metro claimed last week that Podolski’s move to Arsenal has now been signed off, so Gooners will be looking forward to seeing him in the Red & White next season.

With Cologne 1-0 down, the German striker collected the ball near the touchline before turning two players, driving across the box and firing home from the edge of the area for his 18th goal of the season. The goalkeeping was a little suspect, but it was a great goal none-the-less. Unfortunately Freiburg went on to score three further goals to win the game 4-1 and put Podolski’s Cologne on the verge of relegation.

They should investigate the Koln GK. It’s like he didn’t want to save a couple of those goals.

Exactly; the keeping wasn’t as suspect for the Podolski goal as it was for at least 3 of the freiburg goals. What was the keeper thinking?

I hope he does more of the same when he arrives. I’m already seeing a great combo of poldi, perhaps with poldi as the main striker and rvp occupying the no 10 position??.
Anyway it’s good he’s coming. A welcomed addition

So obvious the Koln goalkeeper didn’t even try to save 3 of the goals. This game needs to be investigated

podolski target is already a gunner, let the arsenal team go for another sharp striker and a world class playmaker last season our coach have discovered Eden harzard and everbody was talkin nonsense that he was about to bring an hazardious player to the epl, here we are, every big team manager are now looking farward for the young talented midfilder, most espessially the likes of united, city, chelsea, spur’s etc
