Arsenal Have A New Number 1 – 2012/13 Squad Numbers Confirmed

Wojciech Szczesny - new No.1
Arsenal have confirmed the squad numbers for the upcoming 2012/13 season, and the most notable change is Wojciech Szczesny taking over the number one shirt from the departed Manuel Almunia.
The big Pole has been forced to wear the number 13 shirt while Almunia was still on the books, but with the Spaniard being released this summer, Szczesny has now been handed the coveted No.1 jersey.
New summer signing Olivier Giroud has been given the No.12 shirt, while Francis Coquelin is now No.22 and Kyle Bartley No.35.
Interestingly the club state on Arsenal.com that Lukas Podolski is yet to be allocated a shirt number.
“The shirt number of Lukas Podolski, who joined the Club from Cologne, has yet to be confirmed.”

I think it’s fair to say that this is due to the uncertainty over the future of captain Robin van Persie. Should, as expected, RVP leave this summer Podolski will almost certainly take over the No.10 shirt.

The highest mistake wenger wil do is to sell Rvp,let arsenal ignore his want away decision,and buy players for him.if wenger can get players for this positions like defender,defencive midfield,a goal stoper,and central midfield and a striker bcoz of injury problems.
Rvp should rather leave arsenal club intead of causing story every day. Podolski is the next number10 shirt choice. Wenger should let vp go to any club he likes and let us build team that will challenge for trophy next season. I see no reason why he should be in london ,let him go pls wenger.
