[TEAMS] Norwich vs Arsenal: Wilshere’s Back – Confirmed Line-ups

By on October 20, 2012

Arsenal get back to Premier League action after the international break as they face Norwich City at Carrow Road in Saturday’s late kick off.

Manager Arsene Wenger has seen his side decimated by injuries with Laurent Koscielny, Theo Walcott, Kieran Gibbs, Abou Diaby, Tomas Rosicky, Lukasz Fabianski and Wojciech Szczesny all on the sidelines.

The good news is that Jack Wilshere returns to the squad for the first time in over 15 months but the midfielder is only fit enough for a place on the bench.

Per Mertesacker plays alongside Vermaelen in Koscielny’s absence while Andre Santos comes in for Gibbs. Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Norwich Team:

Ruddy, R. Martin, Johnson, Bassong, Turner, Holt, Pilkington, Hoolahan, E. Bennett, Garrido, Tettey

SUBS: Rudd, Snodgrass, Howson, Jackson, Surman, Morison, R. Bennett

Arsenal Team:

Mannone, Jenkinson, Vermaelen, Mertesacker, Santos, Arteta, Ramsey, Cazorla, Gervinho, Podolski, Giroud.

SUBS: Martinez, Djourou, Coquelin, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Arshavin, Gnabry, WILSHERE.
