[Video Goals] Arsenal 2-1 Urawa Red: Podolski & Akpom On Target For Gunners

By on July 26, 2013

Arsenal finished off their pre-season tour of the Far East with a 2-1 win over the Urawa Red Diamonds on Friday afternoon.

After a goalless first half, sub Lukas Podolski fired Arsenal ahead after a nice assist from Theo Walcott, but the hosts made it 1-1 when defender Yuki Abe volleyed home from a corner.

Both sides had chances with Walcott wasting at least two good opportunities and Oxlade-Chamberlain hitting the woodwork twice, but it was youngster Chuba Akpom who grabbed a late winner when he capitalised on a defensive mix-up to make it 2-1 to the Reds.
