[Video Goals] Arsenal 2-0 Boreham Wood: Olsson & Afobe Secure Routine Win

By on July 19, 2014

Arsenal cruised to a routine 2-0 win over Boreham Wood at Meadow Park on Saturday afternoon thanks to second half goals from Kristoffer Olsson and Benik Afobe.

After a goalless first half, Arsene Wenger made wholesale changes at half-time and the Gunners took the lead when Tomas Rosicky’s excellent through-ball found youngster Olsson who slotted home for 1-0.

Boreham Wood rarely troubled the Arsenal goal and we put a bit of gloss on the scoreline with a late second. Chuba Akpom pulled off some great skill down the left wing before sending a cross into the box, only for Benik Afobe to be fouled in the area. The striker converted the spot kick himself for 2-0.
