Arsene Wenger has been speaking at his pre-match press conference this morning and gave a team news update ahead of tomorrow’s clash with Crystal Palace.
The good news is that Jack Wilshere is back in contention after recovering from his ankle injury. The midfielder has been on the sidelines for almost three months but returned to training two weeks ago and is now likely to be named in the squad that travels to Selhurst Park tomorrow.
Wilshere is unlikely to be named in the starting eleven as Wenger says it would be difficult for him to come straight back in, but I expect he’ll get on during the second half at some stage.
The boss also confirmed that Hector Bellerin will undergo a late fitness test after picking up an ankle injury this week, with Calum Chambers on stand-by to start at right-back if the Spaniard fails to make it.
Aaron Ramsey continues to nurse a hamstring injury and Wenger believes the midfielder will be out for a further 10 days, meaning he’ll miss the first leg of our Champions League last 16 clash with Monaco on Wednesday as well as next weekend’s visit of Everton to the Emirates.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain returned to full training on Thursday after three weeks out with a groin injury but the boss thinks he might be ‘a bit short’ to be considered for the squad on Saturday, so he’ll most likely make his return next week.

Boss: "I cannot tell you whether @JackWilshere will start. I've not picked the team definitely. It's difficult to come back immediately."
