[Video Goals] Chelsea 2-0 Tottenham: Terry Scores As Blues Win Capital One Cup

Chelsea won the first piece of silverware of the 2014/15 season after beating Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 at Wembley this afternoon.

Spurs started brightly but it was the Blues who opened the scoring when John Terry was on hand to fire home a loose ball from close range following a free-kick on the stroke of half-time.

Tottenham pushed for an equaliser but Chelsea grabbed the all-important second goal in the 56th minute when Diego Costa’s effort was deflected past Hugo Lloris via the boot of Kyle Walker.

There was no way back for Spurs as Chelsea held on to lift the Capital One Cup and Jose Mourinho will be hoping it will be the first of several trophies the club win this season.
