Arsenal Premier League match with Sunderland at the Emirates has been rescheduled for Wednesday 20th May, it has been announced this afternoon.
The game was originally expected to be played on Saturday April 18th but had to be postponed after we reached the semi finals of the FA Cup, as we’ll now be taking on Reading at Wembley that weekend.
Fans have been patiently waiting to hear when the game would be reschedule for and we finally got our answer this afternoon after it was announced that Sunderland will come to North London on Wednesday May 20th, kicking off at 7.45pm.
It means we now take on Sunderland in between our crucial game against Man Utd and the home clash with West Brom on the final day of the season.
The good news is we’ll still have a full weeks rest ahead of our trip to Old Trafford, but unfortunately we could be a little jaded by the time we face the Baggies, plus, Sunderland will be a tough prospect if they’re still in a relegation dog fight by the penultimate game of the season. Let’s hope they are either safe or already relegated by the time they come to the Emirates.
So our end of season fixture list now looks like this:
9th May – Swansea H
16th May – Man Utd A
20th May – Sunderland H
24th May – West Brom H
30th May – FA Cup final ?
