Arsene Wenger & Louis van Gaal In The Running For March Manager Of The Month

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has been nominated alongside Louis van Gaal, Tim Sherwood and Ronald Koeman for the March Manager of the Month Award.

The Gunners were in excellent form last month as Wenger led his side to six consecutive victories in all competitions including wins over Everton, QPR,  Manchester United, West Ham, Monaco and Newcastle.

The flawless run saw the North Londoners reach the semi-final’s of the FA Cup and climb up to third in the Premier League table so it’s no surprise to see Wenger named on the four-man short list for the Manager of the Month Award.

The Frenchman will face stiff competition from Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal after he led the Red Devils to three consecutive Premier League wins against Newcastle, Tottenham and Liverpool with their only defeat in March coming against the Gunners in the FA Cup.

Southampton boss Ronald Koeman is also in the running after picking up wins over Crystal Palace and Burnley while the South Coast club also secured an impressive draw away at leaders Chelsea.

The final man to make the cut is Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood as he led the Villains out of the bottom three thanks to wins over West Brom and Sunderland while they also reached the last four of the FA Cup.
