Arsenal Boss Offers Injury Update On Ramsey & Koscielny After Liverpool Win

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has given an injury update on Laurent Koscielny and Aaron Ramsey after they were forced off with knocks during Arsenal’s 4-1 win over Liverpool at the Emirates this afternoon.
Koscielny was substituted just two minutes into the second half and fans were left fearing he’d suffered a recurrence of a long-standing Achilles injury.
However, Wenger confirmed to reporters after the game that the French international had a tight thigh so they decided not to risk him during the second half.
Ramsey was replaced by Mathieu Flamini in the 62nd minute and the Welshman appeared to be limping as he left the field. The boss has confirmed the midfielder has picked up an ankle problem but thankfully he says it’s nothing serious.
“Koscielny has a little tightness in his thigh and Ramsey’s is an ankle problem, but it’s not bad,” Wenger is quoted as saying after the game.
Arsenal don’t play until next weekend when we visit Burnley so hopefully both Koscielny and Ramsey will have recovered in time to make the trip to Turf Moor.
Despite losing the duo, we cruised to a 4-1 victory over Liverpool this afternoon thanks to well-taken goals from Hector Bellerin, Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Olivier Giroud.
It was our eighth league win in a row and sees us climb up to second in the Premier League table. With Liverpool now nine points adrift in fifth place, we are in an extremely strong position to secure Champions League football again this season.
