Chelsea took a huge step closer to reclaiming the Premier League title after holding Arsenal to a 0-0 draw at the Emirates this afternoon.
The first half was littered with penalty claims with David Ospina lucky not to give away a spot kick after taking out Oscar while Cesc Fabregas was booked after going down theatrically under minimal contact from Santi Cazorla.
Arsenal also had a shout for a penalty when Gary Cahill handled a shot from Cazorla, but none of the appeals were awarded as the game was all-square at the break.
The second-half was a largely forgettable affair as Chelsea were happy to sit back and hit Arsenal on the break, while the Gunners weren’t able to create many clear-cut goal-scoring opportunities.
Neither side found a winner so it ended goalless and Chelsea are now ten-points clear at the top of the table with five games left to play, while Arsenal are tied in second with Manchester City but have a game in hand.
