Arsenal are on the brink of crashing out of the Champions League group stages after a shock 3-2 defeat to Olympiacos at the Emirates this evening.
Olympiacos took a shock lead in the 33rd minute when Pardo’s long-range shot deflected off Oxlade-Chamberlain and in to the bottom corner.
We hit back immediately as Sanchez fed Walcott inside the box and the striker’s shot squeezed under Roberto to make it 1-1 in the 35th minute.
Less than five minutes later and it was 1-2 as Ospina inexplicably dropped a corner into his own net and while it looked touch-and-go as to whether the whole ball was over the line, the assistant referee gave the goal.
Sanchez headed home a Walcott cross in the 65th minute to pull it back to 2-2 and it looked as though we could go on to win the game.
However, just 60 seconds later we somehow found ourselves behind yet again as Finnbogason swept home at the near post following some terrible defending from the home side.
We couldn’t find a way back in to the game so crashed to a shock 3-2 defeat meaning our hopes of qualifying from the group stages hang by a thread.
