Liverpool booked their place in the last eight of the Capital One Cup with a 1-0 win over Bournemouth at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Nathaniel Clyne scored the only goal of the game in the 17th minute, finishing off from close range after Joao Teixeira saw his clever back-heel cleared off the line.

Bournemouth gave as good as they got and had several opportunities to get themselves level, with Adam Bogdan forced into three fine saves to deny striker Junior Stanislas.

However, Liverpool held on to secure a 1-0 victory and not only did it hand Jurgen Klopp his first win since becoming Reds boss, it booked the Merseysiders a place in the quarter finals.
