Arsenal players have been reacting on Twitter after the Gunners booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup with a 3-1 victory over Sunderland at the Emirates this afternoon.
It wasn’t all plain sailing as we had to come from behind after an error from Laurent Koscielny gifted the Black Cats a 17th minute opener before Joel Campbell levelled things up to make it 1-1 at half time.
However, we eased to victory thanks to second half goals from Aaron Ramsey and Olivier Giroud – both of which were set-up following some superb play from Hector Bellerin down the right.
The Spaniard took to Twitter shortly after the match to poke fun at team mate Mesut Ozil – who was rested for the game – after saying ‘no Ozil, no problem‘ and the German international responded by congratulating ‘speedy’ on a fine performance.
Midfielder Ramsey was joined by Campbell in expressing their delight at making it through to the next round while Calum Chambers tweeted to say he’s enjoying his time playing in midfield after having another run-out in the middle of the park this afternoon.
Alex Iwobi impressed after being handed a rare start in midfield and the youngster has taken to Twitter to say it was a good win over Sunderland and says it was a great team performance.
Here is what the players have been saying on Twitter:
