Arsenal Handed Triple Injury Boost With Star Trio On Verge Of Comebacks

Arsenal have been handed a triple injury boost with Jack Wilshere, Francis Coquelin and Danny Welbeck all returning to training, according to the Daily Star.
Wilshere is yet to feature this season after suffering a fractured fibula in training on the eve of our Community Shield clash with Chelsea way back in August of last year.
The midfielder was eventually forced to undergo surgery which ruled him out for several months but it looks as though he’s finally on the comeback trail after returning to training.
Welbeck has been out for even longer as the attacker hasn’t kicked a ball since suffering what was initially thought to be a minor knee injury against Chelsea back in April 2015.
However, the injury turned out to be far more serious and Welbeck went under the knife in September in a bid to finally resolve the issue. He was always due to return around February time and it appears he’s on course for that as he’s back in training and Arsene told reporters this morning that he expects Welbeck to be available in 2-3 weeks time.
In a triple boost, Coquelin is on course to make a swift recovery after undergoing surgery on a knee injury which he picked up against West Bromwich Albion in November.
The Frenchman was initially expected back at the end of February but it looks as though he could be available sooner than that as the Daily Star – who cite The Times as their source – claim he’s also back in training.
It’s going to take a few weeks for the trio to regain their match fitness so I wouldn’t expect any of them to be in contention until early February but it’s going to give us a real boost to have them back during the second half of the season.
