Spanish Giants Agree To Sell Arsenal & Man Utd Striker Target To Chelsea
Real Madrid are ready to activate their buy-back clause for Arsenal and Manchester United target Alvaro Morata and immediately sell the striker to Chelsea
The opening of the summer transfer window is fast approaching so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Chelsea are closing in on Alvaro Morata….
Real Madrid are ready to activate their buy-back clause for Arsenal and Manchester United target Alvaro Morata and immediately sell the striker to Chelsea, according to the Express.
Morata came through the youth ranks at Real Madrid before joining Serie A champions Juventus for £15.8m in the summer of 2014 having failed to establish himself as a first team regular at the Bernabeu.
The 23-year-old has impressed during his two seasons in Italy with his 26 goals helping the Turin giants win successive Serie A title’s and his performances have led to interest from the Premier League with the Express claiming that Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd are all keen to lure the striker to England.
Madrid inserted a buy-back clause in to Morata’s contract when they sold him two years ago and the newspaper suggests that the Spanish outfit are now ready to pay the required £23.7m plus odds ons fee to re-sign the striker this summer.
However, Zinedine Zidane’s side aren’t interested in keeping hold of Morata for long as the Express claim they’ve agreed to immediately re-sell the striker to Chelsea at a profit with new Blues boss Antonio Conte supposedly willing to pay big-money to take the player to Stamford Bridge.
Conte is expected to undertake a squad overhaul this summer when he officially begins work as Chelsea’s new manager after Euro 2016 and a new striker is on the cards as Loic Remy and Radamel Falcao are set to leave this summer so the West Londoners need competition for Diego Costa next year.
Morata would be an exciting signing if Chelsea can pull off this complex deal as although he has a fairly average goal scoring ratio of about 1 in 3, I think he has all the qualities needed to be a real hit in the Premier League.

We’ll have to wait and see how this all develops over the coming weeks and I’m sure the likes of Arsenal and United haven’t given up hope of signing Morata just yet, but I’d love to see the striker plying his trade here in England next season so hopefully one of the three clubs can get a deal agreed.
