Jose Mourinho Appointed Man Utd Manager After Signing Contract In London Hotel

Jose Mourinho has finally been appointed as the new Manchester United manager, according to Sky Sports News.
The Portuguese coach has been the odds on favourite to take over at Old Trafford for months and many bookmakers stopped taking bets on his appointment after Louis van Gaal was dismissed on Monday night.
The Dutchman won the FA Cup for the first time since 2004 but he ultimately paid the price for failing to qualify for the Champions League next season while fans had also become disillusioned by his poor style of play.
Mourinho’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has been in negotiations with United’s executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward over the past few days as the deal was being held up by various image rights’ complications.
However, those issues appear to have been resolved as Sky Sports News claim that Mourinho has now been appointed as the new United manager after signing his contract in front of Woodward at a London hotel on Thursday afternoon.
The 53-year-old has been out of work since being sacked by Chelsea back in December following a turbulent second spell at Stamford Bridge that saw him win the title in 2014/15 before enduring a disastrous defence during the first half of this season.
At the time of writing, there has been no official announcement from Manchester United but the club are expected to confirm Mourinho’s appointment either tonight or on Friday morning.
Mourinho’s first game in charge will come in a pre-season friendly against Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai on Friday 22nd July.
