Real Madrid Super Star Wants Man Utd Move As Mourinho Prepares £96.4m Move
Gareth Bale wants to return to the Premier League and join Manchester United with Jose Mourinho preparing a whopping £96.4m bid for the Real Madrid super star
The opening of the summer transfer window is fast approaching so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Man Utd are linked with Gareth Bale….
Gareth Bale wants to return to the Premier League and join Manchester United with Jose Mourinho preparing a whopping £96.4m bid for the Real Madrid super star, according to reports in Spain via the Daily Star.
After coming through the youth ranks at Southampton, Bale made his name as a world class talent during a six-year spell at Tottenham before earning a world record move to Madrid in 2013.
The Welshman has endured a mixed time at Madrid as although he’s been a success on the pitch with his 58 goals and 46 assists in 123 appearances helping the La Liga giants to two Champions League trophies, there have always been reports that he’s not entirely settled in Spain.
The speculation has seen Bale constantly linked with a move back to the Premier League and the rumours have resurfaced again today as the Daily Star are citing reports coming from Spanish outlet El Confidencial that claim the 26-year-old wants to return to England and join Man Utd this summer.
The newspaper suggests that Jose Mourinho has earmarked Bale as the marquee signing he wants as he looks to put his own stamp on the squad he’s inherited from Louis van Gaal and is now lining-up a world record £96.4m bid.
Madrid are understood to be reluctant to let Bale leave and would not even consider selling him without the player expressing his desire to leave, but the report claims that Bale has now made it clear to president Florentino Perez that he wants to move back to England this summer and United are confident of pulling off what would be a sensational deal.
It’s difficult to know how much truth there is behind these reports as there is plenty of speculation flying around these days so we should take this story with a pinch of salt but needless to say it would be a major coup for Mourinho if he was able to lure Bale to Old Trafford.
The Portuguese coach is expected to be extremely active this summer and has already splashed out on Villarreal defender Eric Bailly, but reinforcements in attack are needed and Bale would certainly add a much needed goal threat if he were to join.

The Red Devils managed just 49 league goals during the entire campaign last year so Mourinho is certainly going to want to freshen things up in the final third and there aren’t many better attackers around than the former Spurs star right now.
Let’s see how things develop over the coming weeks as no potential deal is going to take place during the European Championships but my gut feeling is that Bale will remain at Madrid for at least another year.
