Agent Confirms Arsenal Have Agreed Terms With Mustafi Ahead Of £20m Deal

The summer transfer window is in full swing so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Shkodran Mustafi…
Shkodran Mustafi’s agent has confirmed that Arsenal have agreed personal terms with with the Valencia centre-back as we close in on a potential £20m deal.
Arsene Wenger is desperately trying to bring in another centre-back before the start of the season after Gabriel was ruled out for up to eight weeks with an ankle injury that he sustained during our friendly win over Man City.
Mustafi has emerged as our prime target in recent weeks and the Times reported this morning that talks were at an advanced stage with Valencia as we look to close-out a £20m deal.
The 24-year-old’s agent, Ali Bulut, has now been quoted by the Metro as saying that personal terms have now been agreed between Arsenal and the defender.
‘Shkodran and Arsenal have reached an agreement, the clubs now only have to agree on the fee,’ Bulut is quoted as saying by the Metro.
So it looks like Arsenal are on the verge of wrapping-up a deal to sign the German international but we face a race against time to get Mustafi available to face Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
We’ll need to get a deal finalised with Valencia within the coming hours to give us the necessary time to put the defender through a medical and get the deal registered with the FA by Friday afternoon in order for Mustafi to be eligible this weekend.
It seems unlikely that we’ll have time to get everything finalised within the next 24 hours so the chances are Mustafi won’t feature against Liverpool, leaving Wenger will a real selection dilemma.

With Gabriel and Per Mertesacker injured, we may be forced to rush Laurent Koscielny back in to action after only a few days pre-season training or perhaps Wenger will decide to push Nacho Monreal in to the middle of defence and bring Kieran Gibbs in at left-back.
