Agent Confirms Arsenal, Chelsea & Liverpool Want To Sign Serie A Star
The agent of Franck Kessie has confirmed that Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are among the clubs who are interested in signing the Atalanta midfielder
The January transfer window is now closed but we can still look at deals that failed to get across the line and those being lined-up for the summer. Today, several Premier League clubs are linked with Franck Kessie….
The agent of Franck Kessie has confirmed that Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are among the Premier League clubs who are interested in signing the Atalanta midfielder, according to a report in the Mirror.
Kessie joined Atalanta from Stella Club in 2015 and after enjoying a season on loan at Cesena last year, the midfielder has become an established part of Gian Peiro Gasperini’s starting eleven this campaign.
Despite being used as a defensive midfielder, the 20-year-old has scored an impressive 7 goals and provided 2 assists in his 17 appearances so far to help Atalanta secure their current sixth-placed position in the Serie A table.
Kessie’s form has attracted interest from the Premier League with a number of clubs linked in recent months and the players agent, George Atangana, has been quoted by the Mirror as telling Italian outlet Calciomercato that Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are among the clubs who’ve registered their interest.
Atangana said:
“We have a lot of interest from the Premier League. Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal.
“I cannot say at this stage how much he will cost but we are talking about one of the best young players in the world. But for us the most important thing is that the technical project is the right one for him.”
Chelsea were reportedly the most keen to sign Kessie during the January transfer window with the Daily Star reporting last month that the Blues has seen a formal £27m offer rejected by Atalanta.
The newspaper suggested that Antonio Conte was so desperate to get an agreement reached in order to secure Kessie’s signature ahead of their rivals, that they offered to buy the midfielder in January and loan him back to Atlanata for the rest of the season.
However, the Serie A outfit held firm as they clearly believe the youngsters value is going to continue to soar over the coming months but it’s going to be extremely difficult for the Italians to keep hold of him beyond this summer.

One things for sure, whoever does end up signing Kessie will be getting one of the best young midfielders in Europe and I think he’d be an excellent addition for the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool if they were able to get a deal agreed.
