Tottenham Boss Confirms Key Man Could Miss Arsenal, Player Returns + Rose Update
Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed a key man could miss the Arsenal game but another player is set to return while the Spurs boss also gave an update on Rose
Tottenham will be looking to keep the pressure on Chelsea when they take on Arsenal at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.
Ahead of the game, Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s given reporters a team news and injury update.
The Spurs boss revealed that midfielder Mousa Dembele remains a doubt to face the Gunners and will need to be assessed to to determine his availability this weekend.
Dembele was forced off at half-time during Tottenham’s 1-0 win at Crystal Palace after twisting his ankle and the Belgian international is now at risk of missing the North London Derby on Sunday.
Pochettino also offered an update on Danny Rose and while the full-back is now taking part in some aspects of full training, he’s still not ready to make his comeback just yet.
Rose has been out since sustaining knee ligament damage against Sunderland at the end of January and will have to wait a little while longer before he’ll be allowed to return to the squad.
However, there was slightly better news on Michel Vorm as the goalkeeper could return this weekend after resuming full training following a knee injury – although a place on the bench is the best he can hope for as Hugo Lloris is certain to keep his place.
Pochettino told reporters:
