Liverpool are keen on Arsenal & Man Utd target Ryan Sessegnon and are hoping to secure a £10m deal for the Fulham star this summer, according to a report in the Mirror.
Sessegnon has become one of the hottest properties outside of the Premier League after enjoying a superb breakthrough campaign at Craven Cottage that’s seen him score 7 goals and provide 5 assists in his 31 appearances.
The teenager has been with Fulham since he was just nine-years-old and has established himself in the first team after progressing through the youth ranks while he has also represented England at several youth levels.
However, Sessegnon’s future at Fulham is yet to be resolved as he turned 17 today so is only now able to sign a professional contract and several top clubs are hoping to tempt him away before he ties himself to the Cottagers.
The Mirror reported earlier this month that Manchester United had joined the likes of Arsenal in the race to sign the talented teen with both clubs expressing their interest ahead of the summer window.
Jose Mourinho needs to strengthen his options at left-back as Luke Shaw has failed to win-over the United boss and Sessegnon would be a long-term solution for the Manchester giants.
Arsenal are also understood to be in the market for a new left-back with Kieran Gibbs tipped to leave the Emirates after failing to nail down a first team place and Sessegnon would provide solid competition for Nacho Monreal if he were to move to North London.
However, the Mirror are now citing a report from the Liverpool Echo that claims Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made Sessegnon his number one left-back target this summer.
Klopp needs a new option on the left side of his defence as Alberto Moreno is expected to leave this summer after falling out-of-favour with James Milner asked to fill-in for much of the season.
Sessegnon would be an exciting addition at Anfield and the newspaper says that Klopp is now pushing ahead to try and wrap-up a £10m deal for the teenager ahead of their rivals.
Fulham are understandably desperate to keep hold of Sessegnon but their hopes have faded after being beaten by Reading in their promotion play-off on Tuesday night.

Had they gained promotion to the Premier League then Sessegnon may have been convinced to stay at Craven Cottage for another year but he will now find it difficult to resist if the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and United come calling this summer.
