Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Thomas Lemar is ready to push through his move to Arsenal….
Thomas Lemar is ready to push through his move to Arsenal after already agreeing personal terms worth £90,000-a-week with the north Londoners, according to a report in The Sun.
Arsene Wenger has already splashed out on the signings of Alexandre Lacazette and Sead Kolasinac but he’s confirmed he’s still in the market for more additions and a new attacker is on his agenda.
Lemar has emerged as a key target in recent weeks and the boss admitted at his press conference while on our pre-season tour last week that the French international was firmly on his radar.
The Mirror reported that Arsenal were increasingly confident of getting a deal wrapped-up at around £45m after seeing a £40m offer rejected but Monaco have been digging in their heels.
The Ligue 1 champions have already lost Bernardo Silva to Manchester City and Tiemoue Bakayoko to Chelsea while Benjamin Mendy is also close to joining City so the French outfit are determined not to see their squad ripped apart any further.
However, The Sun are citing a report from the Daily Star that claims Lemar is so concerned that his proposed move to Arsenal will be blocked that he’s ready to demand Monaco sell him or he’ll go to war with the club.
The newspaper says the 21-year-old’s representatives have already agreed personal terms worth £90,000-a-week with Arsenal and Lemar is believed to be desperate to secure a move to north London this summer.
The French international played a key role in helping Monaco win the title last season after scoring 14 goals and providing a further 17 assists so it’s easy to see why Wenger is so keen to sign him.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop but I think Lemar would be an excellent addition to the squad as he’s capable of playing anywhere across the attacking midfield positions, so let’s pray we’re able to get a deal agreed with Monaco.
