Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have been linked with what would be a world record swoop for Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller this summer, according to a report in the Mirror.
Muller has been with Bayern his entire career having joined the club’s youth system as a child and he’s gone on to play almost 400 games for the first team to help them win a whole host of top honours.
However, the 27-year-old endured one of the worst seasons of his career last year as Muller managed to score just 5 goals and struggled to make an impact under Carlo Ancelotti.
The German international will now find regular first team football even harder to come by this coming campaign following the arrival of James Rodriguez on a two-year loan from Real Madrid.
This has led to speculation suggesting Muller may finally leave the Allianz Arena with the Mirror claiming the forward isn’t content with his current situation while Ancelotti is understood to be happy to cash-in this summer.
And it appears a move to the Premier League could be on the cards as the newspaper are citing a report from Sport Bild that claims Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are all showing a keen interest in luring Muller to England.
Arsene Wenger has already broken the clubs transfer record to sign striker Alexandre Lacazette but with Alexis Sanchez’s future still uncertain the Gunners could turn to Muller as a potential replacement should they sell the Chilean international.
Chelsea are closing-in on the signing of Alvarto Morata but with Diego Costa expected to leave, Antonio Conte could do with another option in attack and Muller would be an excellent signing for the champions.
Jurgen Klopp is also looking to further strengthen his Liverpool squad ahead of their return to the Champions League and signing a player of Muller’s quality would be a real statement of intent by the Reds if they could pull off a deal.
Bayern insist they aren’t looking to sell, however, the Mirror suggest they may be tempted to cash-in on a player who won’t be first choice this season – although the paper says it would require a world record fee to persuade the German giants after they knocked back a £100m bid from Man Utd last summer.

We’ll have to wait and see whether the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool would be prepared to pay that kind of money but I think Muller would be an excellent signing for any of those three clubs and I’d love to see him playing in the Premier League next season.
