Premier League giants Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham have all expressed their interest in signing Barcelona midfielder Rafinha this summer, according to a report in the Express.
Rafinha – brother of Bayern Munich star Thiago – is a product of Barca’s La Masia youth academy and he progressed through the ranks before breaking in to the first team set-up in 2014.
However, the 24-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular first team spot under Luis Enrique but he still managed to score 6 goals and provide 2 assists despite making just 14 La Liga starts last season.
There is mounting speculation that Rafinha is looking for a move this summer in search of first team football ahead of the 2018 World Cup and the player has refused to commit his future to the Nou Camp in recent weeks.
Sky Sports reported earlier this month that Barcelona were ready to cash-in if an offer in the region of £27m was put on the table and it looks like there is plenty of interest from the Premier League.
The Express are citing a report from Mundo Deportivo that claims Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham have all made contact with the La Liga giants to express their interest in signing the Brazilian international.
Jurgen Klopp is in the market for a new midfielder after failing to agree a deal for RB Leipzig star Naby Keita and the Catalan-based publication suggests that Liverpool are willing to meet Barca’s reported asking price for Rafinha.
Arsene Wenger has also confirmed that he’s looking to further strengthen his squad and it looks like the Gunners boss has also identified Rafinha as a key target amid on-going doubts over the future’s of Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere.
However, Tottenham could provide stiff competition for the South American’s signature as Mauricio Pochettino gears-up for a busy final month in the window having failed to sign a single player so far this summer.
Rafinha is predominantly a central midfielder but he’s also capable of playing right-back or wing-back so his versatility would make him a valuable asset for any of the three English clubs showing an interest.

He hasn’t been given the chance to showcase his talents on a regular basis at Barca but I think Rafinha would be an excellent signing if Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs could get a deal agreed for his signature.
