Wenger Offers Injury Update On Ozil, Bellerin, Monreal & Mustafi After Beating Watford

Arsene Wenger has offered a fitness update on Mesut Ozil, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal and Shkodran Mustafi after Arsenal’s win over Watford this afternoon.
Bellerin missed today’s 3-0 victory over Watford and Thursday’s win over AC Milan in the Europa League after aggravating a knee injury last week.
The Spanish international was considered a doubt for next week’s Europa League second leg but Wenger now claims Bellerin could be back to face Milan on Thursday.
Monreal has missed our last four matches in all competitions since suffering a back injury during the Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City last month.
The left-back returned to light training late last week and the boss says Monreal could also be back in contention for our Europa League decider at the Emirates.
In a triple boost, Wenger also eased fears over Ozil’s fitness by saying the German playmaker is ‘alright’ after he appeared to be limping midway through the second half after being kicked on the ankle.
However, Mustafi could be set for a spell on the sidelines as the centre-back suffered a groin injury against Watford today. The defender will have tests tomorrow to determine the full extent of the injury but he must now be considered a doubt to face Milan.

It’s a huge relief that Ozil is okay and it will be a major boost if Bellerin and Monreal are passed fit to face Milan on Thursday night.
We head in to the second leg holding a 2-0 advantage following our impressive win at the San Siro so we’ll be looking to finish the job at the Emirates to book our place in the quarter finals.
