Arsenal Team News: Bould Offers Update On Lacazette & Wilshere Plus Ramsey Latest
Steve Bould has offered an update on the fitness of Jack Wilshere and Alexandre Lacazette plus the latest on Aaron Ramsey ahead of Arsenal v Stoke
Arsenal get back to Premier League action following the international break when we welcome Stoke City to the Emirates on Sunday afternoon.
Arsene Wenger has lost his voice so Steve Bould spoke to the media at our pre-match press conference this morning and provided a team news and injury update ahead of the game.
The assistant manager confirmed a double boost with the news that Jack Wilshere and Alexandre Lacazette should be fit and available for selection this weekend.
Wilshere was forced to return home early from international duty after picking up a knee injury while training with the England squad last week and understandably there were concerns over his fitness.
However, the injury wasn’t serious and Jack has trained at London Colney this week so Bould is confident the midfielder will be available to face Stoke on Sunday.
Lacazette hasn’t featured for Arsenal since the 1-0 defeat to Tottenham at Wembley seven weeks ago after having surgery on a knee ligament injury last month.
The French international returned to training earlier this month and has built-up his fitness during the international break so should be in contention to return to the squad this weekend.
Bould: "Jack was okay yesterday." Lacazette also training, could be involved on Sunday: "Needs as much match time as we can get him." #AFC

"Jack had a bit of a knee problem, he has come back and is fine. As far as I'm aware there is no issue (with England)" #AFC

Unfortunately Bould didn’t offer an update on Aaron Ramsey’s situation after the midfielder was forced to miss Wales’s participation in the China Cup over the past week.
Ramsey underwent a minor procedure on a groin problem last week but he’s been able to train with the rest of the squad in recent days so I expect the 27-year-old will be passed fit to face Stoke.
Otherwise we have a healthy squad to choose from as the only major injury absentee is Santi Cazorla – who is continuing to work his way back to fitness following a serious ankle injury.
Arsenal welcome Stoke to the Emirates this weekend sitting sixth in the Premier League table so we desperately need a morale-boosting win ahead of our crucial Europa League quarter final with CSKA Moscow on Thursday.
