Arsene Wenger has opted to rest Laurent Koscielny ahead of Thursday’s Europa League quarter-final so Calum Chambers starts alongside Shkodran Mustafi at the back.
David Ospina comes in between the sticks as Petr Cech is carrying a minor groin problem while Jack Wilshere is fit to captain the side after recovering from a knee complaint.
Aaron Ramsey is also fit to start in midfield but Granit Xhaka is rested with Mohamed Elneny starting. Danny Welbeck is given a chance to impress with Henrikh Mkhitaryan rested while Mesut Ozil and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang start in attack.
