Arsenal Boss Reveals Real Reason Ramsey & Aubameyang Wont Play Against Qarabag

Unai Emery has revealed the real reasons why Aaron Ramsey and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang won’t feature during Arsenal’s Europa League clash with Qarabag on Thursday night.
The Arsenal squad flew out of London to Azerbaijan on Wednesday morning to prepare for tomorrow night’s game with Emery taking a strong squad with him for the Group E encounter.
The likes of Mesut Ozil, Sokratis, Hector Bellerin, Nacho Monreal, Lucas Torreira, Granit Xhaka and Alexandre Lacazette were all on the plane but Ramsey and Aubameyang were two notable absentees.
Emery is expected to rotate his starting eleven against Qarabag so I assumed the duo had simply been left back in north London to rest ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash with Fulham at Craven Cottage.
However, the boss has now revealed that Aubameyang didn’t make the trip as he’s sick while Ramsey asked to stay in London as his wife is pregnant and is due to go in to labour at any moment.
speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon, Emery is quoted as saying by Football London:
“Aubameyang was sick, he can’t play. Aaron asked me if he could stay in London because he wife is pregnant and they are waiting.”
Let’s hope Aubameyang’s sickness bug clears-up quickly as it would be a big blow if he wasn’t available to face Fulham this weekend and we’ll have to wait and see when Ramsey’s wife goes in to labour as he too could be a doubt for the trip to Craven Cottage on Sunday.
