Arsenal
Arsenal vs Huddersfield Preview | Injury Blow For Emery | Expected XI’s | Prediction
Here is our match preview ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash with Huddersfield including team news, expected line-ups and predicted score
Arsenal will be looking to maintain the pressure on the top four with a win when we take on Huddersfield at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon.
We have enjoyed a positive week as we followed up last weekend’s 4-2 comeback victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the North London Derby with a 2-2 draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford on Wednesday night.
Unai Emery rightly felt that we were unfortunate not to take home all three points against United but we’d have taken four points from those two games a week ago and it means our unbeaten run now stands at an impressive 20 matches in all competitions.
Another win tomorrow afternoon would see Arsenal climb up to third ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Manchester City and Tottenham’s trip to Leicester so we can’t pass up this golden opportunity to apply the pressure to our rivals.
We’ll take on a Huddersfield side who currently sit 17th in the Premier League table and just one point off bottom after losing at Bournemouth in midweek so we should be confident of continuing our fine run with another positive result tomorrow.
Team news
Arsenal have been dealt a huge blow with the news that Rob Holding has been ruled out for up to nine months with a cruciate knee ligament injury that he sustained against United in midweek.
Aaron Ramsey is also a major doubt for tomorrow’s game after being forced off with an ankle problem on Wednesday night while Mesut Ozil could miss his fourth consecutive game with a back issue.
However, Granit Xhaka is back in contention after serving a one-game suspension while Nacho Monreal could return after resuming full training this week following a hamstring injury.
Laurent Koscielny could be named on the bench as he steps-up his recovery from an Achilles injury but Danny Welbeck remains out with a broken ankle.
Huddersfield will be without Philip Billing and Steve Mounie due to suspension and Abdelhamid Sabiri is out with a broken collarbone. However, Chris Lowe could return after recovering from a shoulder injury.
Expected Line-Ups
Predicted Score
Arsenal 3-0 Huddersfield: We won this fixture 5-0 last season and are unbeaten in our last 10 games against Huddersfield in all competitions. Arsenal are on a fine run of form while the visitors are struggling at the wrong end of the table so I can’t see past a routine home win tomorrow. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is in great form so I hope we see him among the scorers during a 3-0 win.
