Liverpool will be looking to secure a positive result in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie with Bayern Munich at Anfield this evening.
Jurgen Klopp has made two changes to his starting eleven with Trent Alexander-Arnold returning at right-back after recovering from a knee injury so James Milner drops to the bench. Alisson Becker obviously keeps his place in goal with Fabinho dropping in to the defence alongside Joel Matip in the absence of the suspended Virgil van Dijk while Dejan Lovren also misses out with a hamstring problem.
Jordan Henderson returns in midfield as he lines-up alongside Georginio Wijnaldum and Naby Keita. Liverpool have been handed a huge boost as Roberto Firmino is passed fit to start up front after recovering from a virus and he’s once again joined by Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.
That means Xherdan Shaqiri must make do with a place on the bench along with Divock Origi, Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana.
As for Bayern Munich, Kingsley Coman is passed fit to start in attack alongside Serge Gnabry and James Rodriguez with Frank Ribery only named on the bench.
