Managers are working hard trying to strengthen their squads during the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal are hoping to agree a deal for Ryan Fraser…
Arsenal are hoping to agree a £20m deal to sign Ryan Fraser after making the Bournemouth winger a priority transfer target this summer, according to the Football London.
Unai Emery desperately needs to freshen up his squad this summer after we finished fifth in the Premier League and were thumped 4-1 by Chelsea in the Europa League final last week.
While improving our leaky defence is vital, we also need to strengthen in attack and bring in a wide forward as Danny Welbeck is about to leave when his contract expires this month and we lack any genuine width in the team.
Football London claims that while Arsenal have a strong interest in Genk attacker Leandro Trossard, we’ve made Ryan Fraser our top target and are hoping to agree a £20m deal for the Scottish international.
The author of the report, James Benge, says Bournemouth value Fraser at closer to £30m but Arsenal are hoping to drive the price down due to the fact the winger only has one year left on his contract and has made it clear he won’t be signing an extension.
Latest on interest in Ryan Fraser, now in video form. Would not expect this to be a deal that is done very soon, particularly as Arsenal's negotiating position improves the longer this drags into the window. pic.twitter.com/hLo4sKXVMs

Benge claims there has been very little movement in negotiations since the end of the season but things should start to progress after Fraser takes part in Scotland’s upcoming Euro qualifiers against Cyprus and Belgium next week.
The 25-year-old has developed into a key player for Bournemouth over the past 12 months having joined the south coast club from Aberdeen in 2013 and he’s now also a regular with the Scottish squad at international level.
Fraser was one of the most productive players in the Premier League last season having contributed 15 assists and 8 goals in his 42 appearances so he’d certainly bring some much needed creativity in the final third if he does join Arsenal.

He may not be the most glamorous of signings but Fraser is proven in the Premier League and at £20m he fits in to our tight budget so I think he’d be a very solid addition to the squad if Arsenal can get a deal over the line.
