Unai Emery is without Alexandre Lacazette after he was ruled out with an ankle injury so Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leads the line up front for the Gunners. Mesut Ozil is given his first start of the new season as he joins Nicolas Pepe in the Arsenal attack with Reiss Nelson on the bench.
Granit Xhaka has recovered from a knock to start in midfield and he’s once again joined by the ever impressive Matteo Guendouzi. Lucas Torreira drops to the bench with Dani Ceballos given a recall while Joe Willock also has to settle for a substitutes role.

As for Watford, Danny Welbeck doesn’t make the squad against his former side with Andre Gray leading the line in the absence of the injured Troy Deeney. Christian Kabasele comes in for Craig Cathcart in the back four while Tom Cleverley start along with Gerard Deulofeu.
