Arsenal will begin their Europa League group stage campaign with a tricky trip to Eintracht Frankfurt this evening.
Unai Emery has made a number of changes from the side that drew 2-2 with Watford last weekend. Emi Martinez replaces Bernd Leno between the sticks while Shkodran Mustafi and Calum Chambers are recalled in defence. Sokratis and Ainsley Maitland-Niles are the men to make way with David Luiz and Sead Kolasinac keeping their places but Rob Holding isn’t included in the matchday squad despite travelling to Germany.
Lucas Torreira and Joe Willock are recalled to join Granit Xhaka in midfield with Dani Ceballos and Matteo Guendouzi dropped to the bench after starting against Watford at Vicarage Road on Sunday.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is risked as the Gabon hitman leads the line up front with youngsters Emile Smith Rowe and Bukayo Saka joining him in the Arsenal attack. Mesut Ozil hasn’t travelled but Reiss Nelson, Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe are among the substitutes.
As for Frankfurt, Gonçalo Paciência is only named on the bench with Bas Dost starting up front alongside Andre Silva.
