Arsenal take on Nottingham Forest in the third round of the Carabao Cup at the Emirates Stadium tonight.
Unai Emery has rotated his squad with all of his key players rested following Sunday’s win over Aston Villa but Mesut Ozil is recalled to captain the side tonight having failed to get off the bench at the weekend.
Kieran Tierney makes his Arsenal debut at left-back after recovering from a niggling groin injury while Rob Holding also comes back into the defence to make his first appearance of 2019 having overcome a knee injury.
Hector Bellerin has to make do with a place on the bench but hopefully we see him make an appearance. Calum Chambers starts at right-back with Shkodran Mustafi partnering Holding in the middle of the back four.
Gabriel Martinelli makes his first start for Arsenal as he replaces Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang up front while Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson join Ozil in supporting the Brazilian youngster in attack.
Joe Willock and Lucas Torreira start in midfield with Granit Xhaka and Matteo Guendouzi rested while Dani Ceballos is named on the bench alongside Bukayo Saka and highly-rated U23 striker Folarin Balogun.
