[Tweet] Cesc Fabregas sends message to new interim Arsenal boss Freddie Ljungberg

Former Gunners midfielder Cesc Fabregas has wished Freddie Ljungberg good luck after he was installed as interim Arsenal manager following Unai Emery’s exit today.
Arsenal released a statement on Arsenal.com on Friday morning confirming that Emery has been sacked following a shocking run of form that’s seen us fail to win any of our last seven matches in all competitions.
Thursday night’s 2-1 defeat at home to Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League was the final nail in Emery’s coffin and he was relieved of his duties after overseeing Arsenal’s worst run of form since 1992.
Ljungberg has been installed as interim manager while the club searches for a permanent replacement with the likes of Mikel Arteta, Max Allegri, Carlo Ancelotti, Nuno Espirito Santo and Mauricio Pochettino all reportedly in the running for the job.
However, Ljungberg may be hoping he can do enough over the coming weeks to secure the job full-time and the former winger will take charge of his first match when we travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich on Sunday afternoon.
Ljungberg took to Twitter to send a message to all Arsenal fans saying as long as he’s in charge he’ll do all he can to ‘put smiles on faces again’ and urged supporters to get behind the team again.
Fans have welcomed Ljungberg’s appointment and former team mate Cesc Fabregas also responded to his tweet to wish the Swede good luck in his new role at Arsenal. Fabregas and Ljungberg spent four years playing together at Arsenal between 2003 and 2007 so it’s nice to see them still supporting each other over a decade later.
Good luck Freddie 🙏🏻👏🏻 https://t.co/J27gsEB6xs
