The former Arsenal U23s coach has made some surprising team selections today as Shkodran Mustafi starts in defence alongside David Luiz with Sokratis named on the bench. Rob Holding misses out with a knock.
Calum Chambers starts at right-back as Hector Bellerin hasn’t travelled due to a hamstring problem while Sead Kolasinac gets the nod ahead of Kieran Tierney at left-back. Granit Xhaka keeps his place in midfield along with Matteo Guendouzi and Joe Willock with Lucas Torreira named on the bench.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette both start in the Arsenal attack with Mesut Ozil also selected so Nicolas Pepe is named among the substitutes along with Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.
